Philip is a self taught folk artist whose naive painting style depicts his refreshing vision in childlike simplicity showing a strong use of pattern and color. His charmingly awkward angels are painted on wood and stretched canvas using acrylic paint in rich, vibrant tones. He paints girl and boy angels as well as cats, dogs, and other animals. Yet each angel uniquely conveys Philip’s spirit of wonder and playful artistic vision.
